Course Overview
Digital marketing is usually taught as a list of channels, which is why so many people learn to run an ad and still cannot say whether it worked.
This course teaches it as one loop instead: find out what people are actually searching for, build a page that deserves the visit, get in front of them organically or with money, and then measure the only thing that matters — whether the visit turned into an enquiry, a sale or nothing. Twelve chapters, and every one of them ends in something you have done rather than something you have heard.
No prior experience needed. Bring a real website or business if you have one; you will work on it.
What You’ll Learn
✅ Search intent: keyword research that finds demand instead of vanity terms.
✅ On-page SEO: titles, headings, structure, internal links and the markup that matters.
✅ Technical SEO: crawling, indexing, canonicals, sitemaps and Search Console.
✅ Content: pages that answer the question the searcher actually had.
✅ Off-page: links, mentions and local presence, honestly.
✅ Google Ads: campaign structure, match types, Quality Score, negatives and budgets.
✅ Social: which platform suits which business, and what to post there.
✅ Analytics: UTMs, conversions, and reading a report without fooling yourself.
The Chapters
1 — How people find a business. Search, social, referral, direct and paid — the whole map, and where each one fits. You can say where your own customers currently come from.
2 — Search intent and keyword research. Informational, commercial and transactional; volume, competition and the long tail. You can build a keyword list a real page could be written for.
3 — On-page SEO. Titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, URLs, internal linking, images and alt text. You can rewrite a page’s on-page elements and say what each change is for.
4 — Content that answers the question. Matching a page to an intent, structure, depth, and updating rather than adding. You can write a page that satisfies a search instead of restating it.
5 — Technical SEO. Crawling versus indexing, robots.txt, noindex, canonicals, sitemaps, redirects. You can explain why a blocked page still appeared in search — and fix it properly.
6 — Search Console and diagnosis. Coverage, queries, clicks and impressions, position. You can find the pages that get impressions and no clicks, and act on them.
7 — Off-page and local. Links, mentions, directories, Google Business Profile, reviews. You can plan link and local work that will not get the site penalised.
8 — Google Ads: the structure. Accounts, campaigns, ad groups, keywords, ads and extensions. You can build a campaign whose structure explains itself.
9 — Google Ads: bidding and Quality Score. Match types, Ad Rank, CPC versus CPM, budgets, negatives, the search terms report. You can lower a cost per click without raising a bid.
10 — Landing pages and conversion. Message match, speed, the offer, the form, and the funnel from click to enquiry. You can find the step where people leave and say why.
11 — Social media that fits the business. Choosing platforms, organic versus paid, what to post, and what social is actually good at. You can drop a platform for a defensible reason.
12 — Analytics and honest reporting. UTM tags, goals and conversions, attribution, and the metrics that flatter without informing. You can produce a one-page report that a business owner can act on.
